String Technology Ltd. participated at SheTrades Virtual Forum 2021

We, String Technology Ltd. is proud to announce that, we have successfully participated in the SheTrades Digital Forum 2021 organized by SheTrades Commonwealth Project.

We are already aware that small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have been hit hard during the COVID-19 pandemic. Women-owned businesses, in particular, have been disproportionately affected. The SheTrades Digital Forum aims to leverage partnerships and knowledge exchange among stakeholders - women-owned businesses (WOBs), private sector, business support organizations (BSOs), buyers, investors, and suppliers - to help women-owned businesses bounce back faster and seize opportunities in the post-COVID landscape.

EM Lock Project With Grameenphone Ltd of Acsys mechatronic access control is targeted to fulfill Grameenphone operational needs and better workforce management and ensure security of the BTS situated all over the country. Finally we deploy 5000 site in overall Bangladesh. The project implementation started on July 24th 2018 with Sylhet East of Sylhet Region.

EM Lock Project With Grameenphone Ltd of Acsys mechatronic access control is targeted to fulfill Grameenphone operational needs and better workforce management and ensure security of the BTS situated all over the country. Initially Acsys mechatronic access control implemented in 1000 BTS sites which is most theft prone area under 5 Circle and 34 Sub-Centre of Grameenphone in country wide. The project implementation started on July 24th 2018 with Sylhet East of Sylhet Region.

Info Sarker Project (Phase III)

Info-Sarker-Phase 3 is an extension of government ICT network to the lowest tier of administration i.e. Union from existing network up to Upazilla (sub-district) through Info-Sarker-2 and BanglaGovNet (Info-Sarker Phase 1) projects. Info Sarkar Project under ICT division (BCC) of Bangladesh Government is a benchmark initiative of Bangladesh Government to make digital Bangladesh by connecting all its people, organisations and resources of all tier through Internet. This project will provide Internet access to 2600 Union Parishad, 488 Upazilla Parishad and 1000 police connectivity under 64 district in all over the country. String Technology Ltd has privilege to be able to contribute to this project through innovative and quality service.

IoT based business transformation

IoT has been the buzz word in technology and business sectors for nearly a decade or so. Big businesses and multinationals have already changed their facilities and capabilities to IoT friendly environment and many small and medium businesses are still in the initial stage of researching the possibility of such a transformation. Transforming businesses to IoT is not easy, because IoT is completely and utterly data driven. Thus the first step to IoT transformation is going digital and then the next step is purchasing the IoT connectivity depending on the business need. Once the capabilities are defined, then other aspects of IoT has to be taken into account, like cognitive science, machine learning and last but not least cloud driven data.

Uber clarifies data privacy policy as controversy rumbles – today's Open Thread

The story that broke earlier in the week about an Uber executive threatening to investigate critical journalists’ private lives rumbles on, with the company providing a couple of official responses yesterday. First, chief executive Travis Kalanick went on a tweetstorm with 13 tweets addressing the issue, although while it concluded with a direct apology to Sarah Lacy, the journalist targeted in the original comments, as Valleywag points out, there were several questions he didn’t answer.
